Take the "Barrier" rune, the one Su Hao was currently most proficient with. He had also gained a rough understanding of its fundamental principle.
The principle behind the Barrier was not the generation of an energy Protective Barrier capable of enveloping the entire body. Rather, after a series of transformations involving the generation, Deflection, and constraint of a Force Field, along with Special Matter Conversion and more, vast amounts of special matter would be uniformly radiated from the surface of the body.
