With a deafening boom, the Chaos Power slammed into the black shield, erupting in a blinding radiance so intense that no one could open their eyes. The enormous shockwave spread outward from the point of impact, uprooting the surrounding trees in an instant and filling the entire valley with flying sand and stones. The black shield trembled on the verge of collapse beneath the assault. The middle-aged man gripped the sword hilt with both hands, veins bulging in his arms from the strain as beads of sweat rolled down his forehead.
"Go, Sister!" Chen Ruixuan struggled to his feet. Though he had a few scrapes, his eyes were full of determination and encouragement. He raised his Slingshot again, condensing an even more powerful Spirit Power Pellet. Seizing the right moment, he fired it at the shield's weak point where it collided with the Chaos Power.
The Spirit Power Pellet streaked forth like a meteor and struck its target precisely. With a crack, a fissure appeared in the black shield, then rapidly spread like a spiderweb. The middle-aged man was horrified and tried to flee, but it was already too late. The Chaos Power instantly shattered the shield and engulfed him and his subordinates like a tidal wave.
When the light finally faded, the middle-aged man and the cultivators lay scattered across the ground in utter disarray. Their clothes were torn, their bodies were covered in injuries, and their faces were filled with fear and resentment. The middle-aged man struggled to his feet and glared viciously at Chen Siyu and Chen Ruixuan. Gritting his teeth, he said, "You two little brats, count yourselves lucky today. We'll settle this score another day!" With that, he waved a hand and fled in disgrace with his remaining subordinates.
"Whew, they're finally gone." Chen Siyu let out a sigh of relief, her body swaying slightly. That all-out attack had drained her greatly as well.
