Chen Siyu and Chen Ruixuan held the Thousand-Year Spirit Flower, examining it closely. The spirit flower had five petals, each engraved with strange symbols, and the stamen emitted a soft, shifting light as if hiding endless mysteries.
Chen Siyu focused her mind, trying to decipher the symbols on the petals. She recalled the ancient script she had seen in the Mysterious Ruins and painstakingly compared the two. After a long while, a flicker of surprise lit up her eyes. "Younger brother, these symbols seem to relate to the movement of Chaos Power. Maybe we can use the flower's strength to break through the mist of the Flower Sea."
Chen Ruixuan leaned in excitedly. "Sister, let's try it now!"
Chen Siyu held the spirit flower in both hands and slowly infused her own spiritual energy into it. The flower blazed with light, and the glow from the stamen drifted out like threads of silk, weaving into an illusory pattern in the air. Within the pattern, a winding path appeared, stretching from where they stood to the edge of the Flower Sea.
"Look, younger brother, this should be the way out." Chen Siyu pointed at the pattern.
The siblings carefully advanced along the path guided by the spirit flower. Along the way, the surrounding mist gradually thinned, and the vines and eerie flowers that had tried to attack them earlier stopped moving, as if suppressed by the flower's power.
But just as they were about to leave the Flower Sea, a massive water curtain suddenly appeared ahead, blocking their way. Light rippled within the curtain, and a faint but powerful fluctuation of spiritual energy emanated from it.
Chen Ruixuan frowned. "Sister, what now? The flower's guidance seems to end here."
Chen Siyu stared at the water curtain, thought for a moment, then said, "This water curtain should be the Flower Sea's final barrier. Let's try using the spirit flower's power to break it."
Chen Siyu raised the Thousand-Year Spirit Flower toward the water curtain. The moment the flower's light touched the curtain, it began to tremble violently. The lights clashed, emitting a blinding glare. Yet the water curtain remained solid, showing no sign of cracking.
Seeing this, Chen Ruixuan joined in. He pulled out his slingshot, condensed a pellet imbued with Chaos Power, and shot it at the water curtain. The pellet struck, splashing up great sprays of water, but the curtain merely rippled in layers before quickly returning to its original state.
Just as the siblings were at a loss, a sudden inspiration struck Chen Siyu. She recalled the knowledge she had gained earlier in the ruins about Chaos Qi and the mutual generation and restraint of the Five Elements. This water curtain belonged to water; perhaps a counteracting force could break it.
Chen Siyu closed her eyes in contemplation, guiding the Chaos Qi within her to transform into the blazing power of fire. Flames roared to life in her hands. She placed the spirit flower at the center of the fire, and as it absorbed the fire's power, its light grew even more dazzling. She thrust the flower toward the water curtain once more. This time, water and fire met with a deafening roar.
Under the combined assault of flame and the spirit flower's power, cracks began to appear in the water curtain. The fissures widened until, with a crash, the curtain shattered completely, dissolving into a pool of clear water that flowed onto the ground.
The siblings successfully emerged from the Flower Sea. Before them stretched a vast grassland, with rolling mountains in the distance, bathed in sunlight—a breathtaking sight.
"Sister, we finally made it out!" Chen Ruixuan cheered excitedly.
Chen Siyu smiled and nodded. "Mm, but we still need to keep searching for the secrets of the Chaos Depths."
Just as they were about to step onto the grassland, the sound of hoofbeats rang out in the distance. A group of people clad in strange attire, riding beasts that resembled qilins, galloped toward them at full speed...
