As the dark aura spread rapidly, the sky of the Mystical Realm was stained ink-black. The once peaceful world was instantly shrouded in gloom. Countless twisted monsters poured out of the darkness, baring their fangs and claws as they let out bloodcurdling howls and surged toward Chen Siyu, Chen Ruixuan, and Fairy Lingyin like a tide.
Fairy Lingyin's expression turned grave. She spun several flourishes with the sword in her hand and said, "It seems the dark forces planned this long ago. We cannot let them succeed!" Chen Siyu nodded. The Five-Colored Ribbon danced nimbly in her hands, radiating a dazzling light, while Chen Ruixuan gripped his slingshot tightly as Chaos Power swirled around its pellets.
The first to charge were a pack of dark monsters resembling vicious wolves. Their bodies were enormous, and their eyes gleamed with an eerie green light. Chen Siyu attacked first, sending the Five-Colored Ribbon shooting out like a dragon emerging from the sea. It wrapped around several wolves, and with a powerful swing, she hurled them into the distance. Chen Ruixuan fired his pellets, which exploded amid the monsters. The formidable Chaos Power instantly blasted a whole swath of them to death.
Fairy Lingyin was no less formidable. Her figure flickered as she darted through the monster horde like a streak of white light. Every swing of her sword sent sprays of blood flying. However, there were simply too many dark monsters, wave after wave, seemingly without end.
"This can't go on. We need a strategy!" Chen Siyu shouted as she fended off the monsters' attacks.
After pondering for a moment, Fairy Lingyin said, "These monsters may seem powerful, but if we find their commander, we may be able to break their offensive. I'll search for the leader of the dark forces. You two hold the line here and delay them as long as possible!" With that, she unleashed her movement technique and rushed toward the place where the dark aura was most concentrated.
Chen Siyu and Chen Ruixuan continued battling the monsters. Chen Ruixuan suddenly thought of an idea and said to Chen Siyu, "Sister, let's try combining Chaos Power with the spiritual energy of the Mystical Realm. Maybe we can unleash something even stronger."
Chen Siyu's eyes lit up. "Good idea!" The siblings focused their minds and guided the Chaos Power within their bodies to merge with the spiritual energy of the Mystical Realm. As the two forces fused, a massive spiritual energy vortex formed around them. It contained immense Chaos Power, sweeping in every monster that approached and grinding them into pieces.
Just as they were holding back the monsters with all their strength, Fairy Lingyin found the leader of the dark forces deep within the darkness. He was a tall man in black robes, his face hidden beneath a black hood. In his hand, he held a staff that radiated an evil aura.
"You are the leader of the dark forces? Why have you invaded the Mystical Realm?" Fairy Lingyin demanded angrily.
The black-robed man sneered. "The Mystical Realm is rich in spiritual energy. As long as I occupy this place, I can use its power to rule the Primordial World! Do you really think the few of you can stop me?"
With that, the black-robed man swung his staff, firing a black beam of light toward Fairy Lingyin. Fairy Lingyin swiftly swung her sword and cleaved the beam apart, but she could also sense the black-robed man's formidable strength.
Fairy Lingyin knew she could not confront the black-robed man head-on. As she skillfully dodged his attacks, she searched for an opening. During their fierce exchange, she noticed that whenever the black-robed man used a powerful spell with his staff, he would pause briefly afterward.
Fairy Lingyin seized the moment. When the black-robed man swung his staff again, she flashed to his side and thrust her sword directly at his arm. The black-robed man had not expected Fairy Lingyin to be so bold. He failed to evade in time, and his arm was slashed. His staff also fell to the ground.
Without his staff, the black-robed man's strength diminished greatly. He roared furiously, yet he no longer dared to continue tangling with Fairy Lingyin and turned to flee. How could Fairy Lingyin let him succeed? She swiftly gave chase, preparing to deal him a fatal blow... But what of Chen Siyu and Chen Ruixuan's battle?
