Clutching the freshly baked loaf, she skipped toward the place where she lived.
And so, the scene of the Tunnel World finally came fully into Su Wen's view:

As a transitional zone deeply fused with the Abyss, where insufficient purification prevented most Borderlanders from directly returning to the Current World,
this was perhaps their final refuge.
But in Su Wen and Jiang Menghan's eyes, this place was more like a steampunk survivor outpost woven from despair and hope.
Everywhere exuded an intense steampunk atmosphere, as though time itself had been twisted here, technology marching alongside ruins.
Dim light seeped from the staggered iron pipes above the three of them, barely illuminating the narrow, winding corridor.
The light danced across the mottled walls, casting distorted shadows like ghosts in an ancient castle, silently recounting the vicissitudes of the past.
The air was heavy with dampness and a faint moldy smell, mixed with the peculiar stench of Machine Oil and smelted metal, making one instinctively frown.
All kinds of mechanical devices and retro steam engines roared along the surrounding walls, some powering the ventilation system, others maintaining the energy supply for this vast underground city.
These machines emitted a deep, rhythmic hum, occasionally pierced by sharp shrieks. Interwoven with the faint sound of underground water flowing in the
