March 28, Nameless Town, evening.
Isaiah sat by the window, gazing out at this black market headquarters that seemed immensely mysterious to outsiders.
Within his right eye, which sealed away an entire field of stars, several energy-emitting nodes at the town's outskirts were exceptionally clear.
Those were the array eyes of the Stars Array.
Before long, someone knocked on the door. The Gold Merchant from yesterday entered after receiving his permission and gave an elegant bow. "Mr. Isaiah, the Stars Array has been fully prepared."
"Mm, I can already sense its presence." Isaiah smiled. "You arranged it well."
"Receiving your approval is our greatest honor." The Gold Merchant smiled. "Before this, we weren't certain whether we could succeed. After all, it is far too exquisite and complex—without question, the most profound array I've seen in my life. Of course, only such an array could receive the power of the stars."
Isaiah could tell that half the Gold Merchant's words were sincere while the other half was flattery, but he did not care. He merely nodded slightly. "Yes. It is, after all, the ultimate technique upon which we Star Relics depend for survival, but it is also the shackle restricting our development. We cannot stand beneath the Star Sea forever."
"I believe the scholars of the Star Relics will one day find a way to break free from these restraints." The Gold Merchant said. "Nothing in this world remains unchanged forever, does it?"
Isaiah knew the Gold Merchant was once again hinting that he hoped Isaiah would clear their name at the upcoming gathering. He still did not refuse, merely smiling. "Of course. That is what I hope as well."
The two smiled at each other, and the deal was thus sealed.
"Then is there anything else we need to do?"
