Two enormous slashes stretched across the heavens and earth, competing against each other.
The sky and clouds split apart as a result. This was not caused by an intense clash of Conqueror's Haki, but by slashes capable of tearing through everything colliding against one another.
Some of the scattered shockwaves from the slashes even sliced through the ground and flew straight toward the sea by the shore. Several unlucky Sea Kings were cut in half, their corpses slowly floating to the surface.
This terrifying sight shocked the crew members who knew Shanks best, and they all looked toward the center of the island.
They knew how terrifyingly powerful Shanks was. With his peerless swordsmanship and strength, that Hawk Eyes could actually stand against him?
Red and emerald green filled the sky, accompanied by the sharp sound of air being sliced apart.
After the first clash,
A massive black blade emerged from the smoke first, a pair of sharp eyes appearing along its length.
With a casual sweep, the wind it raised directly blew away the smoke.
As the smoke dispersed, a proud figure slowly emerged. With neat short black hair, a white shirt, and cold yet tranquil hawk-like eyes, Mihawk stood there holding a black longsword like an unparalleled swordsman.
Opposite Mihawk, a Western sword reflected the light as another figure slowly stepped forth, a confident smile on his face.
"Truly astonishing swordsmanship, Mihawk."
Shanks's eyes were filled with seriousness as Gryphon slowly drew back in his hand. With a swift slash, he unleashed a full-powered strike that swept out like the sun's disk.
He truly could not match Mihawk in a long-range exchange of sword energy, so he could only compete with him in close-quarters swordsmanship.
