A massive roar echoed across the entire battlefield. King Luffy, having received his final injection of stimulatory hormones, looked up as he ran toward the execution platform.
That single glance made his pupils contract.
"It's a dragon!!!"
"Nani?!"
A claw slowly emerged from the thunderclouds, followed by an incomparably enormous dragon head.
Its colossal body coiled above the battlefield, radiating an overwhelming pressure.
"Isn't that Kaido~?"
"She actually flew here all by herself..."
Austin looked over as well, watching the wildly excited dragon.
While he was at it, he kicked King Luffy—who was trying to charge into the battle zone between him and the Three Admirals—over beside the execution platform.
He had never intended to let Ace die anyway. He could leave the rescue to this guy.
But after this war,
there would no longer be a Great Pirate known as Fire Fist Ace in this world.
There would only be Captain Roger's unnamed son, Madam Rouge's child, perhaps also the eldest of the three brothers.
But there would be no pirate named Ace.

Her thunderous voice and excited laughter descended from the sky.
The dragon slowly descended.
She crashed into the ground in free fall, smashing out a humanoid crater.
The surrounding pirates and Marines were stunned. After a brief silence,
two massive hands emerged from the pit amid the dust.
Austin raised an eyebrow.
"Heh heh... What, Shanks couldn't stop you?"
The smoke cleared.
Kaido, her muscles bulging, with a scar across her chest and another wound piercing through it, clutched her head and grinned. There were still traces of alcohol at the corner of her mouth.
Did she come after drinking her
