Austin unleashed his Conqueror's Haki across Marineford and told Garp that the World Government was hunting his family. He asked Garp not to stop him as he prepared to leave for the New World.

• Austin's Conqueror's Haki knocked out most people in the tavern and across Marineford, while Teach and Vegapunk remained conscious.
• Sengoku learned that Austin had unleashed his Haki and called Garp in to deal with him.
• Austin told Vegapunk that their experiment could not continue because he had something important to do.
• Austin decided to go to the New World to protect his family, despite having to rely on his own strength without a mechanism.
• Garp confronted Austin, and Austin revealed that the World Government was hunting his family and asked Garp not to stop him.

Austin left the Marines to save his family, and Garp let him go after Austin knocked him aside. Austin recruited Teach, while Kuzan and Borsalino prepared to support him in the New World.

• Austin punched Garp into a building after Garp insisted he would have to pass over his corpse to leave.
• The Marines fired their guns into the sky to show their trust in Austin as he walked out of the base.
• Austin invited Teach to join him in saving their families, and Teach accepted before a colossal dragon rose from the ground.
• Garp called Kuzan and asked him to keep an eye on Austin, and Kuzan promised to bring him back alive.
• Borsalino told Kuzan he would handle Wano Country while Kuzan set out to find Austin.

Saint Garling and the Knights of God attacked the Charlotte family on Whole Cake Island, targeting Dante as his Conqueror’s Haki awakened. As Sakazuki’s Marines watched from offshore, Austin arrived through the storm and told Sakazuki not to block his path.

• Saint Garling fought Charlotte Linlin and revealed that the World Government’s operation targeted Dante, the child with evil blood.
• The Knights of God pinned down Katakuri and the other Sweet Commanders while attacking Dante, who vowed to slaughter the Celestial Dragons.
• Sakazuki received word that something was approaching the Marine ships, and a vast storm covered the sea.
• Austin emerged from the clouds, and Sakazuki threatened to stop him if he acted without orders.
• Austin told Sakazuki not to block his path because he had no time to play with him.
