Four Great Pirates Defected, Vice Admiral Austin Was Innocent

Contrary to everyone's expectations,

the four rookie Great Pirates captured in Loguetown had all escaped later on. It was even rumored that it had happened because of Austin's "negligence."

But regardless of the reason,

escaping from Austin's grasp was an even greater feat than escaping from a young Garp back then.

That alone was enough for the pirates of the seas to regard them highly.

And the four of them had not disappointed Austin's expectations.

After "escaping" from Marine Headquarters, they headed to numerous World Government member nations and began causing trouble, making those nobles and royal families miserable.

When reporters questioned Austin about the matter, he did not avoid the media's inquiries either.

"Vice Admiral Austin, you are known as the strongest member of the Navy's next generation. Why did you allow several rookie pirates to escape successfully?"

"Well, maybe I just wasn't paying attention at the time~"

Austin answered casually.

The reporter hurriedly took notes nearby.

He had already thought of the headline for his article.

The soldiers beside him remained behind, however, and now stared at the reporter with unfriendly looks.

That made the reporter break out in a cold sweat.

"Hey!!! What are you trying to do?!!!"

"You're Marines, hey!!!"

He kept shrinking backward, but several soldiers slowly closed in with grim faces.

"You damned pirate, you actually disguised yourself as a reporter?!!!"

"Hand over your article and let us
