Itachi looked expressionlessly at the peer standing before him.
He slowly closed his Two-Tomoe Sharingan, his face calm.
It was as though the person he had defeated in a single move was not some super genius, but an ordinary person.
"You're... Uchiha Itachi? Thank you so much." Izumo Kamizuki's face lit up as he immediately restrained the unconscious Deidara.
At the same time, he was deeply shocked.
Although he and Kotetsu Hagane were not particularly powerful, they were still fairly capable chūnin.
Yet an enemy who would have taken some effort for the two of them to defeat together—and whom they might not even have been able to beat—had been taken down by Itachi with a single glance?
What astonishing eye power was this?!
"I heard you're participating in the Chūnin Exams? You're only ten, right? That's incredible. You already have a Two-Tomoe Sharingan at that age?" Kotetsu Hagane exclaimed.
Itachi was neither humble nor overbearing. "I'll be eleven in a week, sir. And you're being too modest. I merely did what a Konoha ninja should do. Besides, if the two of you hadn't been unwilling to hurt him, he would have been defeated long ago."
Itachi pointed at Deidara, who was lying on the ground as though dead.
That one sentence immediately won Izumo Kamizuki and Kotetsu Hagane over. They looked at Itachi with surprise and approval.
Look at him. What a well-behaved junior.
But the question was... could an Uchiha clansman really say something like that?
Other than a very few who appeared utterly cold and completely uninterested in everything around them, every last member of that clan would seize every chance to show off. Worse, they had the strength to back it up, so while many people hated them, there was nothing they could do about it.
