Madara observed Kazue and Izumi's every move.
Through the vision of his Rinnegan, he saw every change in their mouths as they spoke, so he naturally understood what they were discussing.
"What an enviable bond. Even in such desperate straits, they want to sacrifice themselves to let the other escape? Even willing to give up their eyes." Madara watched the scene.
Hearing this, Naruto looked over from afar as well, unimpressed. "No matter how they struggle, it's still a dead end. Aren't you from the Warring States era? Things like this should have been common. What's there to feel sentimental about? You're like some nagging old man."
"Kid, let me remind you that I am an old man by age. When I truly died seventeen years ago, I was already 103." Madara crossed his arms and said coldly, "Besides, you have no idea what those two are doing, nor would you understand why I'm paying such close attention to them."
The bond between those two resembled the one he had shared with Izuna. Both were willing to sacrifice themselves for the other, even knowing that doing so would not truly give the other a chance to escape.

What Madara cared about more was their attempt to exchange eyes.
