The Sudan Colonial Government was not the only one. Britain's Colonial Government of Somaliland and Colonial Government of South Africa were the same way. All three colonies lay right under East Africa's nose.
And Britain's wary attitude toward East Africa was clearly not an unnecessary precaution. After all, East Africa's invasion of Darfur was already right before their eyes.
Very soon, Farsheng, commander of East Africa's Seventh Infantry Regiment, arrived in a military vehicle to "welcome" the British colonial troops.
"How should I address you, sir? I am Farsheng, commander of the Seventh Infantry Regiment of a brigade under East Africa's Northwestern Military Region." Farsheng jumped down from the military vehicle and asked Johnson.
"I am Johnson, deputy commander of the British Garrison in Khartoum. Are you the highest-ranking person in charge here?" Johnson countered.
"Of course. Darfur is currently under my regiment's control. If you have any questions, sir, you may speak directly to me." Looking at the exceedingly arrogant Johnson, Farsheng answered neither humbly nor arrogantly.
Johnson demanded, "Very well, Commander Farsheng. Let me ask you this: why did your forces invade Darfur? This is territory of our Great British Empire. Are you not afraid of causing a dispute between our two nations?"
Farsheng said, "Haha, Sir Johnson, don't get angry yet. Invasion or not, I happen to know that Darfur does not count as British territory. After all, the Sultan of Darfur previously made it clear that he was withdrawing from Sudan, and he also had disputes with you."
Johnson snorted. "That was because Alidinar did not know the times. What he did cannot change the fact that Darfur signed an agreement with Britain. It is all written down in black and white. Therefore, Darfur being part of Britain's Sudan region is beyond dispute."
