The East African colony currently covered roughly 1.2 million square kilometers, including all of Tanzania and most of Kenya, with the north remaining under Arab and indigenous control.

Its area had already surpassed that of the German East Africa colony from Ernst's previous life. Due to the many indigenous states west of the Great Lakes Region, as well as their relatively dense populations, they had not yet been annexed by the East African colony.
