Friday morning, Izumo Kamizuki got up early and headed to the Ninja Academy.
"Morning, Anko," Izumo greeted her.
Though they occasionally argued, the three of them were actually quite close.
"Morning!" Anko replied with a grin.
"Hehe, today's breakfast was red bean soup and sweet bread. Pretty great." Humming an unfamiliar tune, Anko shared what she had eaten for breakfast. She seemed to be in an excellent mood.
"Today's a good day," Izumo said.
"Once we get to school, we'll see our scores for this exam."
"Ah, the scores are coming out today?" The smile slowly vanished from Anko's face.
Although she had kept telling herself to study before the exam, Anko had still waited until the very last day to start reviewing.
Right after the exam, she had felt that she'd done well, but the previous two exams had proved that her instincts were not particularly reliable.
"What's bad about getting the scores? You can ask Mu Yue-sensei for a reward again." Izumo deliberately smiled.
Though he was inferior to Anko in practical combat, he could utterly crush her in theoretical scores.
"You look so happy, Anko. You must have done really well. Tell Mu Yue-sensei later, and he'll definitely reward you with dango." Izumo chuckled.
Anko was speechless. She really had no idea how she had done. If she had slipped backward again like last time, whether she got any dango would be the least of her concerns—her head would definitely get knocked.
"Morning, Anko, Izumo." Kotetsu Hagane walked over and greeted them.
"Sigh, I feel like I might get a decent score, but my instincts don't seem very accurate," Anko said gloomily.
"Don't overthink it. I thought this exam wasn't too difficult. Your score will definitely be higher than last time," Kotetsu said with a smile.
