It was another weekend. On Saturday afternoon, Mu Yue took his ninja intern plan to Asuma's home.
Hiruzen Sarutobi was not there when he arrived; only Asuma's mother, Sarutobi Biwako, was home. Mu Yue was not surprised. It was normal not to run into the Third at this hour. He usually appeared more often when Mu Yue came to return Asuma.
"Lady Biwako, I'm taking Asuma out to train," Mu Yue informed her.
"Mu Yue-sensei, I'll leave him in your care," Sarutobi Biwako said with a smile.
Though she had not spoken much with Mu Yue, Sarutobi Biwako occasionally heard Hiruzen Sarutobi and Asuma mention him. She knew Mu Yue was a good teacher.
"Mu Yue-sensei, are we training Nature Transformation and Great Dragon Fire again today?" Asuma asked.
"Mm. Training Nature Transformation is very important. Once you've made enough progress, I'll teach you something else," Mu Yue replied. He had a training plan for Asuma.
Mu Yue understood one thing: Asuma had definitely played a part in Hiruzen Sarutobi's willingness to pull him out of Root.
Asuma was now a link between Hiruzen Sarutobi and Mu Yue. As long as he taught Asuma well, Mu Yue would not have a hard time making his way in Konoha in the future.
Though Mu Yue's goal was not merely to get by in Konoha, he still needed plenty of time to develop. He needed to use Hiruzen Sarutobi to secure that time.
That was why Mu Yue taught Asuma as someone second only to his disciples. Aside from things that could not yet be revealed, Mu Yue was doing his best to teach Asuma.
"It would be great if you knew Wind Release, Mu Yue-sensei. After I finish training Fire Release, I want to learn some Wind Release," Asuma said regretfully.
