"The past always seems beautiful and deeply nostalgic. I really miss my days at the Ninja Academy." Genma Shiranui could not help sighing as he sat beneath a tree, drenched in sweat and resting.
Back when he was in school, he had always wanted to graduate as soon as possible and had looked forward to life as a ninja. But after truly graduating, Genma Shiranui found himself missing his school days again.
Training had not been so demanding back then, and the Ninja Academy teachers had not been as strict as Teacher Chen. Even if he stayed up late at night, he could catch up on sleep during unimportant theory classes.
After thinking it over carefully, he realized that he had always been this conflicted. When school was in session, he looked forward to breaks. Not long after a break began, he looked forward to school starting again. And not long after school started, he wanted another break.
If I really went back to the Ninja Academy, I'd probably start missing my life as a ninja again. Genma Shiranui silently mocked himself.
"I don't miss it at all. What's past is past," Ebisu gave his opinion.
"Haha, that's because your true nature was exposed in Fourth Grade, wasn't it?" Genma Shiranui loudly mocked his good friend.
Ebisu's face darkened. How was that his true nature being exposed? He had clearly encountered the two nemeses of his life.
Seeing that his good friend looked ready to chop someone up, Genma Shiranui chuckled and prepared to slip away.
"You two, behave yourselves while resting. The sooner you recover your strength, the sooner you can continue training. You both came from the Ninja Academy—if your taijutsu could reach even half of Guy's level, I could focus on teaching you Ninjutsu." Teacher Chen appeared
