"Jiraiya, after all this time, have you found the student who can change the ninja world?" Orochimaru asked as he picked up a snack to go with the drinks and ate it.
"Haha, good question. I don't know either," Jiraiya answered with a grin.
The Great Toad Sage's prophecy was far too vague. He had no idea whether one of the students he had taught truly was the Child of Destiny.
"You don't know, yet you say it with such confidence. You really are as much of an idiot as ever," Tsunade mocked.
"He's just looking for something to do," Orochimaru said, unsurprised by Jiraiya's answer.
He believed that one person's strength could never change the entire ninja world. Even Hashirama Senju, the God of Shinobi, had failed to do it. After his death, the ninja world had continued as it always had.
"I might be looking for something to do, but what are you? You want to learn every Ninjutsu in the world and gain immortality? That's impossible. No matter how much you study human life, it will never be eternal," Jiraiya shot back without holding back.
"Rather than researching immortality, you should find a suitable successor and pass down your Ninja Way. That way, even if you die, you'll live on in another form."
