When it was nearly twelve fifty, Obito impatiently brought Nohara Rin and Kakashi to the bulletin board to wait for the results to be posted.
"There are so many people." Obito stared blankly at the already surrounded bulletin board. He had thought coming early would be better, but he had not expected so many people to be even more anxious than him to see the results.
"We can just wait here. This is an exam related to promotion, so everyone is very enthusiastic," Nohara Rin said with a smile.
Obito nodded and stood with Nohara Rin without forcing his way in.
"Make way," two ninjas wearing Chunin flak jackets said as they approached a few minutes later.
The semicircle of people around the bulletin board immediately and willingly opened a gap for the proctors to post the results.
"Whew, that was close. I got exactly seventy-one points. One more mistake and I would have been eliminated," someone said in relief.
"You idiot, I even gave you the answers, and you only got sixty-seven? We're done for. It's our first time participating, and we didn't even pass the first stage," someone else complained speechlessly to their companion after seeing the results.
Everyone gathered around the bulletin board frantically searched for their names and scores.
Standing nearby, Kakashi calmly watched the people shoving forward. This was exactly what he had expected. The more anxious someone was to see their score, the less likely it was to be good. If they were absolutely certain of passing like him, they would not be in such a hurry to find out.
"Let me in." Hearing people already discussing their scores, Obito immediately forced his way through with brute strength.
