Obito sighed as he crouched on the ground and poked at a pile of snow with his finger. "Sigh, novels really do make things up. Protecting a princess is boring to death."

The greater his expectations had been, the greater his disappointment was. He had been excited when he came, but now he was just as disappointed.

The princess-protection mission Obito had imagined: "A kind and beautiful princess and a powerful, evil enemy. After a difficult battle, I defeat the enemy, save the princess, and become a hero."

The real princess-protection mission: "The princess is just a little brat. There isn't even a trace of the enemy, let alone any chance of becoming a hero."

"Look on the bright side. Anyone daring to assassinate a princess must be pretty strong, right? It'll probably be difficult," Nohara Rin consoled him.

"But if I don't defeat a powerful enemy, how am I supposed to become a hero?" Obito was thoroughly depressed.

"If you're really bored, come build snowmen with me. The snow is so nice—it'd be a shame not to build a few," Nohara Rin said, rolling a snowball as she invited Obito.

"Then let's compete and see whose snowman looks better." Obito's eyes lit up, and he immediately agreed.

Even though the mission had disappointed him, building snowmen with Nohara Rin was definitely something worth being happy about.

"Kakashi, you should join us too. I feel like you could make a really delicate snowman," Nohara Rin invited Kakashi as well.

The smile on Obito's face became less radiant. With Kakashi around, the atmosphere just wouldn't be the same.

"Being good at sculpture doesn't mean you're good at building snowmen. After all, there's no Snow Release Ninjutsu to help you sculpt," Obito said, implying that Kakashi's refined sculptures relied entirely on Ninjutsu.
