"Obito, can you tell me about what happened during your internship?" Shisui asked Obito during a break in training.
Shisui had already discussed it with Mu Yue: he would join the internship and graduate directly afterward. So, he wanted to get some internship experience from Obito.
Originally, Shisui had wanted to ask Kakashi, since he felt Kakashi would be much more reliable in this regard. But Kakashi seemed to have something going on and had not come to the Southern Forest today.
After Minato returned, Obito and the others had essentially been running between two places. They would train with Minato for a few days, then return to train with Mu Yue for a while.
"Why are you asking about that, Shisui? Aren't you only in second grade?" Obito scratched his head and asked in confusion.
"I'm planning to graduate early in second grade, so I'll be joining this year's internship," Shisui explained.
"I see." Obito showed an enlightened expression.
Obito did not think there was anything strange about Shisui graduating early. Kakashi had graduated before even finishing First Grade, and Shisui could crush Kakashi at the same age. Obito saw no issue at all with Shisui graduating early.
"Then you've come to the right person. I was one of the best performers in the graduation internship!" As he spoke, Obito could not help puffing out his chest and lifting his chin proudly.
Their team ranked first in both the number and quality of missions completed. The only reason he said "one of" was because Might Guy was on the same team as him.
"Mm, that's impressive." Shisui clapped and praised him.
Though there was little enthusiasm in his applause or smile, he knew that this would make Obito happy.
Sure enough, a smug smile quickly appeared on Obito's face.
