The Iwagakure ninja felt what little hope he had of escaping vanish completely the moment he saw Minato Namikaze leading a team toward him.
Minato Namikaze had become famous in Iwagakure for his extraordinary speed during the battles between Iwagakure and the Land of Grass. Other than Jiraiya, he was the ninja Iwagakure feared most.
Now, Minato Namikaze had single-handedly fought the new A-B Combo of Kumogakure to a draw on the battlefield in the Land of Hot Water, becoming a renowned powerhouse in the ninja world. His danger level had risen once more. The Iwagakure ninja did not believe he could escape from someone like Minato Namikaze.
"Don't get ahead of yourself. Minato-sensei doesn't need to step in to deal with the likes of you." Obito and Kakashi exchanged a glance, then assumed fighting stances.
The two moved to the front, shielding Nohara Rin behind them as they steadily approached the five Iwagakure ninja.
Minato Namikaze, meanwhile, flung out several Flying Thunder God Kunai to block off the Iwagakure ninja's possible escape routes.
He would not intervene in this battle. He would only stand guard for Obito and the others.
Before stepping out, Minato Namikaze had already sensed the chakra signatures of the five Iwagakure ninja. Only one of them might have been a jonin. The others had weak chakra, and were likely chunin or genin. Obito and the others could handle them.
When the Iwagakure special jonin leading the group saw Minato Namikaze being so overconfident, delight instantly surged through his heart. They could not beat Minato Namikaze, but could they really not defeat three children who looked about ten years old?
