First of all, thank you to everyone who has been following along, voting, and sending tips. I couldn't update too much during the free period, only 4k words a day, so I can't blame you for saying the chapters were short.
Now let me complain a bit. This book has had it pretty rough. I barely wrote anything, yet chapters kept getting blocked, which caused me to lose the smart recommendation slot. Not getting the recommendation spot might also have been related to a chapter being blocked the day before the PK. It was actually supposed to go live next week, but I lost out on the recommendation competition and flopped, so it had to launch early.
Although the results so far haven't been great, this is my first book since graduating, and I'll definitely write it properly. I'll work hard to update, so you don't need to worry about me dropping it.
Besides, I'm still holding onto a small fantasy. Even if the early results aren't good, maybe they'll improve later. There are precedents for that. If you're able to, I hope you can give it a subscription on Qidian. Orange hereby kowtows to all my beloved patrons.
The book currently has around 25,000 saves. Qidian now has anti-piracy measures, and strong authors generally have a save-to-subscription ratio of around five to one.
But I know I don't have that kind of ability, so my hoped-for first-day subscriptions are 2,500, a ten-to-one save-to-subscription ratio. I'd be very satisfied if I reached that number. Anything higher would be a pleasant surprise. I wonder if everyone can give me one? Time to dream.
As for updates, there will be at least five chapters on launch day. I'll post however
