The pain these past two days had been killing me. I couldn't even lift my arm. There wasn't much wrong with the bones themselves, but I'd had a minor issue all along—whenever I twisted, it would hurt a little. I never paid it much attention, thinking it wasn't a big deal. A few days ago, I didn't even know how I'd twisted it, but with everything piled together, it erupted all at once. How embarrassing.
After resting for a few days, taking medicine, and undergoing physical therapy, I'd been put through the wringer for several days. Now, as long as I didn't move my shoulder, it didn't ache constantly like that. But the slightest movement felt as though the bone had snapped.
I tried resting my arm on the desk, keeping my arm and shoulder still and not exerting any force, then using my wrist to type. It wasn't something I was used to, nor was it comfortable, and my efficiency was low, but I could probably manage. Besides, I was slow at typing to begin with. I just needed to get a little used to it.
I'd kept writing without pause for two years. Going several days without typing felt far too strange, like going several days without eating meat—it just didn't sit right. I couldn't finish a chapter today, so I'd update tomorrow instead.
Please take this as a warning, everyone. If you feel any discomfort normally, it's best to get it checked early. And thank you all, fellow readers, for your concern.
