The Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, silent year-round, began to stir.
Within the Eight Treasures Merit Pool, the Nine-Rank Golden Lotus bloomed. Golden radiance shot into the heavens, dyeing Mount Sumeru in the shimmering hues of glazed treasure.
Dense merit flowed around the lotus throne as it trembled faintly, as though answering some ancient, unprecedented upheaval.
Jieyin and Zhunti stood side by side before the lotus throne.
Within the hearts of the two Hun Yuan Saints, every trace of Xuanmen sentiment faded away.
The foundational aura Western Teachings had inherited from Xuanmen was covered layer upon layer by Zen intent—compassionate, vast, and ethereal.
With a gentle sweep of the Seven Treasures Wonderful Tree in his hand, Zhunti's voice, woven from compassion and obsession, crossed mountains and rivers and resounded through the four corners of the Prehistoric Universe:
"I, Zhunti."
"From this day forth, Western Teachings shall sever itself from Xuanmen!"
As his words fell, heaven and earth fell silent.
Then Jieyin slowly raised his eyes. Within them, three thousand worlds seemed to rise and perish. His voice was not loud, yet it drowned out the sounds of all living things:
"I, Jieyin."
"Establish the Buddha Sect, and preside over the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss in the west."
"With the Nine-Rank Golden Lotus of Merit to suppress the sect's fortune."
"Mahayana Buddha Sect, Great Thunderclap Temple, appear!"
"Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, manifest!"
The declaration of the sect's founding was like a great bell, shaking the eight directions and stirring the Heavenly Dao into resonance.
Heavenly flowers fell in profusion, and golden lotuses sprang from the earth.
A Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, free of suffering and sorrow, pure and solemn, fully manifested from the void.
The Creation left behind by the Dao Transformation of the Bitter Monk in ancient
