Thanos's mothership was called Sanctuary II. It was over 6,500 meters wide, and from the front, it resembled a broad, thick manta ray with its wings spread.
Its mothership used subspace collapses generated by plasma reactors for faster-than-light travel. Its onboard holographic AI system could display the history, technology, and civilization data of nearly the entire Milky Way, as well as cosmic star charts of multiple galaxies—records of the many advanced civilizations Thanos had passed through and destroyed.
The mothership had four hangars capable of docking more than seven hundred space shuttles, as well as six starports that could accommodate at least a dozen Q-shaped vessels.
Its primary weapons included 1,008 plasma cannons, 467 laser turrets, 84 thermonuclear missile launchers, 24 heavy plasma cannons, and an ion cannon powerful enough to wipe out a planet.
Of course, this magnificent Sanctuary II mothership was merely a tool Thanos used to search for the Infinity Stones.
Sanctuary II in the sky broke into two pieces. Explosions continuously erupted across it, and flames and thick black smoke poured from its shattered starports, hull breaches, hangars, and cannon muzzles as it came crashing toward the battlefield in central New York.
The soldiers on the central New York battlefield looked up as though facing the end of the world. The massive shadow, accompanied by roaring explosions, flames, and black smoke, was about to fall upon them.
Rapid commands kept ordering them to flee the impact zone, but with the ship falling so quickly—and with them having been fighting the alien army just moments ago—there was no way they could escape the center of the crash.
These were Earth's finest warriors, the soldiers fighting aliens on the front lines. If they were crushed to death by Sanctuary II's fall, it would be an utterly senseless disaster.
