Oa Star had once been the headquarters of the Green Lantern Corps. Green light had spread everywhere, and its strange, magnificent buildings had possessed a grand, peaceful artistic beauty.
After Darkseid's invasion, however, Oa Star had nearly suffered the destruction of even its core, despite winning that war.
The rebuilt Oa Star had become the Oa Pan-Stellar Domain Alliance. More than two hundred vast cosmic powers had joined the alliance, forging a strategy of standing together in advance and retreat.
As a result, more than two hundred cosmic civilizations had moved into and reshaped Oa Star, bringing with them the diverse cultures and character of their technological civilizations.
Oa Star sat at the center like a hedgehog with two hundred spines spread outward. Each of those extending spines represented a cosmic civilization.
Some civilizations had docked enormous motherships directly on these spines as their nations' representative bases. Others consisted of rocklike aliens that formed mountains in space. Some had built planets right on the spines, while Stellar-class powerhouses rested their actual bodies there. Still others had established vast trading markets on them.
These varied civilizations displayed their own dazzling, distinctive landscapes, chaotic yet magnificent, bustling and clamorous.
It was an architectural marvel. It seemed to blend two hundred cosmic civilizations together, yet the boundaries between them remained starkly clear.
Yet after a mere century, most of the cosmic powers in the Oa Pan-Stellar Domain Alliance had already forgotten why they had established it at the urging of the Guardians of the Universe.
