After confirmation from the Chunin Exam proctors, Neji Hyuga, Tenten, and Rock Lee passed the second stage of the Chunin Exams.
The three of them took up residence inside the Central Tower.
The Chunin Exams lasted five days. Neji Hyuga, Tenten, and Rock Lee had arrived too early, so they still had to wait four days for the other genin to arrive. Only then would the time, location, and format of the final exam be announced.
Neji Hyuga, Tenten, and Rock Lee were also forbidden from leaving the Central Tower, making the next few days somewhat boring.
Neji Hyuga noticed that there were considerably more Anbu in the Central Tower, and most of their eyes were on him.
Neji Hyuga paid them no mind. No matter what kind of surveillance it was, it could not change the outcome.
Besides, he was not the one launching the Konoha Crush Plan, nor had he collaborated with Orochimaru.
Four days passed peacefully. As time went by, other teams gradually gathered the Heaven and Earth Scrolls and entered the Central Tower. Yet whenever they encountered Neji Hyuga, Tenten, and Rock Lee, they avoided them.
They all knew that Neji Hyuga, Tenten, and Rock Lee stood apart from the other teams in this exam. They were not opponents ordinary genin could handle, and everyone was deeply wary of the trio.
With one hour remaining before the second exam ended, the Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, entered the Central Tower. Puffing on his pipe with a cheerful smile, he walked over to Neji Hyuga.
"How has the Chunin Exam been, Neji? It shouldn't be a problem for you," Hiruzen Sarutobi said with a smile as he approached. Behind him followed Hiashi Hyuga, dressed solemnly with a stern expression.
"Mm, it's been alright." Neji Hyuga smiled faintly.
