The audience jumped in fright. Just moments ago, the energy sphere on the screen had expanded from small to large, seeming to shoot right at them as though they were there in person.
The live feed went black on the spot.
"Was she hit?"
"I hope she's okay."
"She was too close. Getting caught in it was unavoidable."
"This is too cruel."
"What's happening at the scene? How is He-El?"
"What exactly is that thing?"
The footage was quickly restored in an emergency broadcast, but this time it was much farther away. It was clearly filmed from the ground toward the sky, where Destroyer's barrage of energy spheres filled the heavens, dense and surging.
NBC gave a brief response. The host, trying to provide everyone with a better view, had been caught in the black Iron Man's energy barrage. Her helicopter had exploded, killing her instantly.
The audience erupted in uproar. Seeing He-El supporting the Apache helicopter in the sky and desperately dodging the countless energy spheres, their hearts clenched once more.
Another female host took over the broadcast. The camera remained trained on the sky, allowing them to see clearly.
Like a Great Ape with mad jets blasting from its back, Destroyer lunged at He-El, only for He-El to rise higher and evade it.
Destroyer did not pause in the slightest. Its back underwent a second burst of acceleration in midair, the flames behind it suddenly erupting as fiercely as if it had farted in the sky. Like a rocket launching with repeated BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!, it propelled itself after He-El into the heavens, continuously firing energy spheres from its faceplate.
He-El supported the Apache helicopter with his right hand as he ascended higher into the sky.
