A helicopter bearing S.H.I.E.L.D. markings on its side churned its rotors as it arrived in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan.

Hell's Kitchen, officially named Clinton and also commonly known as West Midtown, was an area on the western shore of Manhattan Island in New York City, United States. Roughly rectangular, it was bounded by 59th Street and 34th Street to the north and south, Eighth Avenue to the east, and the Hudson River to the west.

Hell's Kitchen had once been a notorious slum on Manhattan Island, primarily inhabited by working-class Irish immigrants. It was known for its chaotic and backward living conditions, severe ethnic conflict, and high crime rate.

Spider-Man often fought crime here, and his swinging figure could frequently be seen passing overhead.

Seeing the helicopter hovering in the air, the battle-hardened Hell's Kitchen gangsters had already raised RPG rocket launchers, preparing to give it a shot.

As for the consequences afterward, they did not care.

Spider-Man, who happened to be swinging by, looked up at the S.H.I.E.L.D.-marked helicopter in surprise and quickly swung toward it.

Suddenly, the hovering helicopter's cabin door opened. A recurve bow emerged, nocked with three arrows, and fired directly at the approaching Spider-Man.

Spider-Man's slender figure stiffened in confusion, because his spider-sense had detected no danger.

Spider-Man turned his head for a look.

He saw the three arrows graze past his body by a hair's breadth and shoot toward the rooftop of a building below, striking three shady-looking black men who were about to use RPG rocket launchers.

"Ah—" The arrows pierced straight through their shoulders and arms. The three lawless Manhattan black men cried out in agony, then scrambled away. They abandoned even their RPG rocket launchers and raced down from the rooftop, disappearing into the foul-smelling, dark, sinister alleyways.

"Spider-Kid, get up here!"
