On Malekith's charred skull-like face, his black eyes focused in shock. He could not understand how Odin had appeared before him.
He had used the Aether to trigger the Convergence ahead of time, causing space to begin overlapping. Even he did not know what stage it would overlap into.
But Malekith knew that in the end, everything would overlap until it collided, until the Nine Realms merged in a great collision and were consumed by the Aether, becoming dark matter and releasing an environment suitable for the Dark Elves to survive in, turning the universe once more into an age of darkness belonging to the Dark Elves.
