Ye Zi staggered into the medical room and stopped before the Large Medicine Vat, which was taller than a person. Bracing himself against it, he panted for a long while before remembering to ask, "Are you awake?"

Meng Chao poked his head out of the vat, glanced at the Ratfolk Boy, and then climbed out with some difficulty.
"Wow!"
Seeing the crystalline medicinal fluid trickling down muscles that looked as though they had been carved from marble, with not a single scar visible apart from his slightly pale skin, Ye Zi secretly clicked his tongue. "Reaper, your injuries healed so fast! You were covered in wounds after yesterday's match, bleeding like a river. And now, all your wounds have closed already?"
"Yes, thanks to Ice Storm taking care of me. She specifically asked the shamans here to use their finest secret medicine on me, so my external wounds recovered fairly quickly. But my internal injuries are still serious. I'm still terribly weak—a gust of wind could knock me over. Cough, cough, cough cough cough."
Meng Chao dry-coughed for a while before asking, "What time is it now? You came rushing over in such a panic. Did something happen?"
"It's almost noon. You soaked in the Large Medicine Vat for nearly a full day and night!"
Half nervous and half excited, Ye Zi said, "It really was a long night. Something earth-shattering did happen, and you'll never guess it—Big Kukri is dead!"
Meng Chao froze for a moment before asking suspiciously, "Who is Big Kukri?"
