Before the two sharply divided battle formations stood two tower-like hulks.
The brawny man on the left was over two meters tall, with a face that blended the features of a fierce tiger and a starving wolf. His gaping maw jutted forward, fangs interlocking.
Paired with the dense scars covering his face and the bulging scarlet eyeballs squeezed out by those scars, his sky-piercing Killing Intent made him look even more like a predator howling through the mountains and roaming the wilderness than the Wolf Clan Outriders surrounding the Great Horned Legion.
In truth, this burly man did indeed have some Wolf Clan blood flowing through his veins.
Yet beneath his distinctly canine head, his granite-like, powerful body was covered in vast patches of scales and carapace resembling those of a reptile.
At first glance, he looked like a vicious wolf's head growing from the body of a crocodile.
These were unmistakable traits of mixed blood.
They were also the indelible brand of the ratfolk.
This hulking man, who resembled a "crocodile wolf," was already tall enough.
Yet the broad-shouldered, thick-waisted brute on the right stood another two or three heads taller than him, and a full arm's width broader. He looked as though he weighed at least a hundred pounds more.
He was like a brown bear standing upright. The dense, steel-brush-like fur all over his body was even thicker than that of a real brown bear, while a tuft of dripping crimson fur grew from his chest in the shape of a crescent moon. No one knew whether it had been born that way, or whether, after surviving nine deaths and one life amid the soaking Sea of Corpses and Blood, it had gradually grown into this imposing abnormality under the intense operation of his Life Magnetic Field.
