At this thought, Meng Chao said to Ice Storm, "You don't need to consider whether an anti-Holy Light Temple alliance encircling the Holy Light Land can be established. Just tell me—if such an alliance truly existed, would we stand a chance?"
"If that were the case..."
Ice Storm looked Meng Chao up and down several times, seemingly puzzled by his utter confidence that he could establish an "anti-Holy Light Alliance."
However, this black-haired, black-eyed fellow known as the "Reaper" had far too many strange things about him.
Ice Storm quickly restrained her doubts and began to think seriously.
A moment later, she reached a conclusion.
"If that were the case, there might be about one finger's worth of possibility to accomplish what you said—'destroy the Holy Light'!"
Ice Storm raised one finger and explained, "If the total possibility of 'destroying the Holy Light' counts as ten fingers, then the chance of all the alien races joining forces would be one finger. No more than that."
"A ten percent chance of victory?"
Meng Chao was not discouraged.
In fact, given medieval communication methods, along with the fact that the alien races had neither kinship nor friendship, possessed vastly different appearances and customs, and followed the principle of better a dead fellow Daoist than a dead poor Daoist, he felt that even ten percent was an overestimate.
But the future Meng Chao intended to change was far more than this.
"What if my people and I had a way to greatly increase the Turan Orcs' combat strength?" he continued asking.
"Greatly increase the Turan Orcs' combat strength?"
Ice Storm was slightly stunned. The light in her eyes brightened by a whole level. "May I ask what method you would use to increase their combat strength?"
"It's... a kind of weapon."
