The friend who came to the Holy Mountain Temple with me is a pure-blooded Turan, but after undergoing a series of bizarre trials, he seems to have been corroded and controlled by some mysterious force—the one who attacked us from the other side of the rift just now."

The enormous metal plate floating amid the vast sea of stars began to hum again, as though countless Ancient Turan People were speaking at once.
One voice said, "Given our people's ever-declining intelligence, anyone who came here would surely be corroded and controlled."
Another said, "Your friend does not seem to have been corroded too deeply yet. His will is already exceptionally tenacious."
Yet another said, "You are not one of our people. Perhaps that is for the best. Every Turan will be controlled by it; only an outsider may be able to save our civilization."
Others impatiently asked, "You do not seem to be of the Holy Light Human Race, nor do you resemble a dwarf, elf, undead, or giant. Who exactly are you, where do you come from, and where do you intend to go?"
Hundreds and thousands of voices emerged simultaneously from within the violently high-frequency-vibrating metal plate.
Remarkably, the voices did not interfere with one another in the slightest.
