Chapter 1878: Three-Way Intersection

The two branches of the "Y" formed a ninety-degree angle, leading in two separate directions.

Both were likewise filled with Black Mist that rolled as though alive, both equally steeped in unknown mystery, making it impossible to tell which path led to life and which to death.
Along the way, Meng Chao had already passed through dozens of similar three-way intersections and crossroads.
But before this, whenever he reached a crossroads and had to make a choice, the soul-fire of the "Martial God," Lei Zongchao, would always leave behind a vivid, clear, and singular marker ahead, illuminating the path toward the future for him.

This scanning was continuous, far more reliable than following footprints.
