Final Thoughts

It was time to say "goodbye" to everyone again.

Whenever one of my works came to an end, I always felt especially sorrowful, as though I were about to part ways with classmates and friends I had spent years with day and night, each of us heading to the four corners of the world and our own futures.

And every time I wrote an ending, no matter how much I wanted to begin well and end well, covering every angle, there would always be one regret or another left behind.

Not to mention that this time, there seemed to be especially many reluctances and regrets.

This was a good opportunity to chat with everyone a little more about the creative journey of "Earthlings Are Too Fierce," as well as what this work was originally meant to look like "in an ideal state"—hopefully making up, at least somewhat, for Old Cow's shortcomings in the main text.

The idea of writing an "urban transmigration" story first came to me three and a half years ago, around February or March of 2020.

At the time, I was also struck, shaken, and encouraged by certain people and certain events, which made Old Cow firmly believe one thing: as long as everyone in a City of Heroes could unite as one, standing shoulder to shoulder like a fortress, no difficulty could ever stop us.

Even if we transmigrated to the Otherworld on the Other Shore of the Starry Sea, even if we had to face endless demons, monsters, hardships, and suffering, we could still hack our way through thorns and brambles, march forward bravely, and fight until final victory—or at the very least, bloom with the most dazzling light in a thunderous, earth-shaking final battle!
