Under blue skies and white clouds, countless monsters soared freely through the crystal-pure azure sky.

Griffins, Soaring Sky Eagles, Terror Claw Hawks, Three-Winged Falcons, and even the vanguard of the aerial Beast Tide—the Void-Rending Demon Eyes that had plunged humanity into terror!

Yet the savage-looking monsters that filled Dragon City's skies showed not the slightest trace of hostility here.

Even the Void-Rending Demon Eyes, which looked like a fusion of giant eyeballs and jellyfish, had become bright-eyed and adorably guileless.

And there were people riding on the flying monsters' backs!

Behind medium and small monsters such as griffins were saddle-like harnesses, upon which human riders sat, proudly steering their mounts.

On the backs of Soaring Sky Eagles with wingspans reaching dozens of meters, the saddles had been replaced by wooden platforms enclosed by railings and covered with protective nets. They could hold three to five passengers, soaring through the skies alongside the monsters.

The most outrageous of all were the Void-Rending Demon Eyes.

Their dangling tentacles were actually wrapped around baskets, each packed with people, making them look exactly like hot-air balloons!

Different numbers were affixed to the baskets beneath each Void-Rending Demon Eye, from Number One to numbers in the dozens, reminding Meng Chao of Dragon City's... public buses.

Meng Chao squeezed his eyes shut hard.
