The weather was neither cold nor hot, without Dragon City's common gales, torrential rain, or smog. Mountains encircled it on all sides, and one glance was enough to tell that its produce was especially abundant. Seas of flowers and green waves lined both sides of the roads. Countless vines and branches hung heavy with clusters of fruit, giving off a fragrance that assailed the nostrils. Merely catching its scent made one drool three feet long and set one's forefinger twitching.

Meng Chao really did see quite a few passersby walking along before being lured by the fruit's fragrance. They simply used both hands and feet like apes, nimbly scaling walls dozens of meters high to pluck dazzlingly colored, crystal-clear fruits and feast on them to their hearts' content.

Each fruit was larger than their heads. Juice splashed everywhere as they ate, and, thoroughly satisfied, they giggled like carefree children.

Some ate until their bellies bulged high, then simply patted their stomachs, wrapped their feet around the vines, hung upside down from the walls, and fell into a deep sleep.

"Yeah. It's easy to get sleepy after eating your fill, and when you're sleepy, you sleep. What's wrong with that?" Gu Ling said as though it were perfectly ordinary.

"But he was still walking down the street just now."
