In short, this medical room's original form several thousand years ago should have been even more advanced than Dragon City's highest-grade sterile wards.
Now, however, it had become a place for witch doctors to perform ritual dances.
In many primitive tribes, witch doctors, priests, and shamans were all one and the same: lofty figures capable of communicating with ancestors and gods.
Although the witch doctors in this medical room were only responsible for treating Ratfolk Servant Soldiers and held relatively low status in the Turan Civilization's divine hierarchy,
they were still draped in layer upon layer of extraordinarily gorgeous Seven-Colored Feathers.
They wore enormous ebony and White Bone Masks.
Their necks, waists, and limbs were all wrapped in glittering gemstones.
They looked mysterious and unfathomable, as though they truly possessed profound secrets.
However, the things embedded in the centers of their masks, along with the bottles at their waists used to hold medicinal powder, prevented Meng Chao from feeling even the slightest reverence.
If Meng Chao was not mistaken, the thing embedded in the center of the masks as a "third eye" was a full-screen cellphone.
And the containers used for medicinal powders and liquids were plastic soda bottles.
Of course, they were all ancient models from decades ago, perhaps even from the Earth Era.
The phone screens had long since shattered, exposing the circuit boards inside.
Meng Chao guessed that these things had been swept away when Dragon City and Peach Blossom Paradise Town had just crossed over. Floodwaters had carried them from Peach Blossom Paradise Town down Tiger's Fury River, past the "Guillotine," into the middle and lower reaches of the Turan River, where fishermen living in Turanze had salvaged them.
Perhaps, in the eyes of the Turan People, these were all gifts from ancestral spirits.
No wonder
