We had originally planned to wait until I finished the book and until her summer vacation to deal with it—a minor surgery, that was all. But when we visited a local Grade A Tertiary Hospital in the middle of last month, the local doctor frightened us. The doctor recommended immediate surgery, and her sleep monitoring did indeed show one instance of apnea.
We had no choice but to disrupt our previous plans and rush straight from Weihai to Jinan.
I had originally wanted to take a long leave, but then I thought about how we were at a crucial point before the ending. If I stopped updating, readers might wonder whether the story was about to be abandoned or something, so I did my best to keep up one update a day.
During this time, I went back and forth, taking the high-speed rail five or six times.
I gained a great deal of life experience and overcame many difficulties. Fortunately, I was still able to deliver daily updates, and the plot was steadily moving forward. (The pace was certainly a little slower than with normal updates, and my Train of Thought was sometimes disjointed, but the overall plot was unaffected.)
At last, after yesterday's follow-up appointment, this matter was settled for the time being, and my daughter no longer had any Hidden Worry.
