"God! So many planes. Those Air Force bastards have really gone all out this time!" A German Army officer looked up at the German Air Force fighter planes sweeping over their heads and could not help sighing.
"Such a huge formation, and quite a few heavy bombers too. Are those Air Force bastards trying to bomb Moscow into ruins?" A German military soldier poked his head out of the trench and muttered.
"If the Air Force can bomb all the Russians in Moscow to death, that would be perfect. It would make our attack on Moscow much easier." A German military general said.
Although the assault on Moscow had not yet begun, everyone knew it would be a hard-fought battle. Germany hoped to use the attack on Moscow to draw more of Russia's living forces here and annihilate them, laying the foundation for destroying Russia. Russia, meanwhile, hoped to hold Moscow and, under the resistance of the Russian army, inflict severe losses on the German military—or even defeat them.
This meant that the Battle of Moscow was destined to be a bloodbath. Both sides would engage in brutal slaughter here and pay a terrible price.
