Field Marshal Manstein, Minister of War and Chief of Staff, became Commander of the Pacific Theater, responsible for commanding Germany's land, sea, and air forces in the Pacific in their war against the Island Nation.
Now, the German Army had taken the South Seas, and the German Navy had swallowed the Island Nation Navy's Combined Fleet. That meant this war had only one thing left: the invasion of the Island Nation's Mainland.
Inside the Pacific Theater Headquarters' conference room, the German land, sea, and air force generals of the Pacific Theater had all gathered. Smiles filled every face. Everyone knew that this war was about to end.
"Gentlemen, now that the war has reached this point, all that remains is for us to launch an attack on the Island Nation's Mainland. Once we land on the Island Nation's Mainland and destroy the Island Nation, this war will be over. I believe you have all been looking forward to this day for a long time," Field Marshal Manstein said.
"Your Excellency, once we defeat the Island Nation people, we can return home for Christmas. I haven't been home in two years," a German military general said.
The other generals all echoed him.
