Ch. 505Lightning Raid
The German Left Wing Army Group, led by General Kluck and General Ludendorff, launched a truck-supported advance from Amiens toward Rouen to cut the Seine River supply route and then move on Paris. Sir French ordered the British and French corps in the region to prepare to resist and considered calling up reinforcements.
