Arriving at Green Mountain Town

The blazing sun scorched the earth, its searing heat baking the muddy ground until it seemed ready to crack apart. The moment one stepped on it, heat surged up through the soles of the feet, leaving countless travelers drenched in sweat and endlessly cursing this damned weather.

On the broad dirt road, two youths trudged along, their heads soaked with sweat. One of them wore black and carried a pitch-black heavy ruler on his back. It seemed to glimmer with a sheen, making it look... somewhat greasy.
