Healing Wounds

Lin Feng picked Yun Yun up. Since they were on the riverbank, her plain dress had been dampened somewhat, making it difficult to conceal her graceful figure. One of Lin Feng's hands supported her calves while the other cradled the back of her head, and he could immediately feel the tender smoothness of her skin, like warm jade. The sensation was exquisitely pleasant.

Gritting his teeth, he forced aside those unnecessary thoughts, carried Yun Yun back into the cave, and placed her on the stone bed he had built. Returning to the cave, he crouched beside Yun Yun and looked at her. It was also his first time observing her from such close range, and he could not help but be stunned by her beauty. Her brows and eyes were like a painting, her skin like ice and bones like jade. Her flawless, delicate face and proud figure seemed like heaven's perfect creation.

Though she was wounded and her face was pale at the moment, her noble and elegant bearing remained impossible to conceal.

His gaze swept over her delicate, flawless face before moving lower. Beneath her jade-like neck, across her chest, was a terrifying claw wound. Blood had already soaked through her clothes.

"This Amethyst Winged Lion King is truly terrifying. If I ran into it, I'd probably be dead for sure."

In her unconscious state, Yun Yun's delicate brows furrowed slightly, and a trace of pain appeared on her lovely face. Faint, agonized moans slipped from her lips, making one's thoughts wander involuntarily.

After thinking it over, Lin Feng took out a medicinal pill he had refined himself. Just as he was about to reach out and help her up, he saw her tightly shut beautiful eyes suddenly open. A hint of coldness and vigilance filled them as she stared directly at Lin Feng.

Seeing her look at him as if he were some kind of villain, Lin Feng felt a surge of irritation. His good intentions had truly been treated like dirt.

"If you want to live, swallow it."

Ignoring her cold gaze, Lin Feng placed the pill by her hand and let her take it herself.

Perhaps realizing that Lin Feng had saved her, Yun Yun's eyes lost some of their chill. She looked at the pill beside her hand, hesitated for a moment, and tried to reach for it. However, pain racked her entire body, and she was currently numb from head to toe.

After struggling slightly, Yun Yun slowly closed her eyes and sensed the state of her body. She knew that she had been struck by the Amethyst Winged Lion King's Sealing Technique. Her strength would not recover anytime soon.

She tried moving again, but the result was the same. Yun Yun gave up on the futile struggle.

She glanced at Lin Feng, who was leaning off to the side and watching her with a teasing expression. After confirming that he did not seem dangerous, she spoke softly and somewhat awkwardly. "Please help me."

Her voice was pleasant and melodious, though perhaps due to her status, it carried a touch of coolness and an irrepressible nobility.

Lin Feng was somewhat unaccustomed to her tone, but seeing how pitiful she looked now, he still picked up the pill and brought it to her lips.

Yun Yun hesitated. Her pretty face flushed as she opened her enticing red lips and carefully swallowed the pill. This naturally led to her lips brushing Lin Feng's fingers, and he could clearly feel that softness, making his heart stir. He subconsciously glanced at her little mouth before shifting his gaze away beneath Yun Yun's icy stare.

"Once you take this pill, your internal injuries will heal soon enough."

After saying that, Lin Feng went to the side and built a fire. He then left the cave and returned shortly afterward with two fish, which he cleaned and set over the fire to roast.

Without Xiao Yan's ruler, grilling meat really is a bit troublesome.

After taking the pill, Yun Yun could feel its powerful medicinal energy repairing her internal injuries. Her beautiful eyes turned toward Lin Feng. The youth was rather handsome, and his strength was not bad either—he had actually reached the level of a three-star Dou Master. Even in the Misty Cloud Sect, he would be considered one of the Heaven's Chosen.

She tried to move, but the instant she did, the terrifying wound on her chest sent a heart-rending pain through her body.

Hearing Yun Yun's groan, Lin Feng glanced over and casually tossed her a bottle of medicinal liquid. "It's for external injuries. Apply it to the wound along with the pill you just took, and that will do."

Yun Yun took a deep breath and tried moving her hand, but she still could not manage it.

She turned her gaze to Lin Feng, her beautiful eyes carrying a trace of helplessness and pleading. Combined with her current weak appearance, it naturally inspired pity.

"What a bother," Lin Feng muttered.

Yun Yun did not know whether she had heard him, but her pretty face reddened. After holding back for a while, she finally managed to say, "Thank you."

Lin Feng temporarily lowered the flames beneath the fire so the fish would not burn, then rose and sat on the stone bed. With the two of them so close, Yun Yun could clearly sense the masculine scent emanating from him.

Lin Feng picked up the jade bottle and glanced at her. Seeing her eyes closed and her long lashes trembling lightly, he spoke in a rather calm voice. "Excuse me."

Lin Feng reached out, and the moment he touched her shoulder, he felt her tremble slightly. He then helped her sit up cross-legged on the stone bed.

Looking at Yun Yun's captivating curves, Lin Feng slowly removed her clothing. When his hands came into contact with her skin, Yun Yun's delicate body suddenly tensed, but she still said, "Continue."

Although her tone was calm, her flushed face and trembling eyelashes betrayed her true feelings.

As her clothes gradually slipped away, a metal clasp on her Inner Armor was revealed. Lin Feng carefully removed the Inner Armor. Since it fit closely against her body, he accidentally brushed against the wound, causing Yun Yun to suck in several sharp breaths.

Once the Inner Armor was removed, Yun Yun's upper body was almost completely exposed before Lin Feng. Even with Lin Feng's composure, he could not help developing certain distracting thoughts, and his body grew somewhat heated.

Yun Yun could also feel Lin Feng's heavy breathing against her back. Her snow-white skin had taken on a faint pink tint, and her delicate body trembled slightly.

Yet her voice coldly warned him, "Please control your eyes and hands."

Lin Feng gave a bitter smile, calmed himself, and said, "Forgive me."

He then turned Yun Yun around. Only then did he discover that her cheeks had long since been dyed with an alluring blush. Her beautiful eyes looked at Lin Feng. Though they retained their coolness, there was little actual hostility in them.

Lin Feng first used the medicinal liquid to clean the wound, then wiped away the blood around it before carefully applying the medicine.

Yun Yun's beautiful eyes were tightly shut, her long lashes trembling continuously. Her hair had quietly fallen loose as well, making her seem less noble and elegant, and more languid and gentle like an ordinary woman.

Her beautiful eyes turned toward the youth tending her wound, gratitude in their depths. "Thank you."

After finishing, Lin Feng took out one of his own white garments and gave it to her. Rising to his feet, he said, "No need."

He then turned and returned to the fire to roast his fish, seemingly unmoved by the gratitude of such a great beauty.

Yun Yun's beautiful eyes flickered. Lin Feng's indifferent attitude made her feel somewhat uncomfortable. Within the Misty Cloud Sect and throughout the entire empire, everyone fawned over her whenever they saw her. Yet aside from saving her, this fellow had been exceptionally cold toward her in every other respect.
