Yun Yun Recovers

The Amethyst Winged Lion King's horn had been broken by Lin Feng. Its furious roar echoed throughout the entire Monster Mountain Range, and the magical beasts below all bowed their heads. The king of these mountains had been driven into a towering rage.

Purple flames flickered within its beastly eyes. Purple Flame spread around its body as violet light flowed and swirled. Its lion's roar was deafening. "You're courting death!"

Boom!

The sky erupted into fierce battle once more. The powerful, violent force within Lin Feng desperately needed an outlet. His eyes were bloodshot, and he was beginning to lose his reason. The power fed back to him by the Chaos Flame was simply too overwhelming. Having suddenly surged into his body, it was more than even he could bear. His strength kept breaking through. If he did not forcefully suppress it now, it would inevitably leave hidden dangers for his future cultivation.

"Ah!"

Lin Feng let out a thunderous roar, flames dancing in his eyes. Relying on instinct alone, he continuously clashed with the Lion King, trying to vent that excess power through the battle.

Two streaks of light collided repeatedly in the sky. Lin Feng's attacks had initially been ferocious, but he gradually fell into a disadvantage. The Lion King's furious assault was far beyond what Lin Feng could endure. Another collision erupted in the sky. Purple light bloomed from the Amethyst Winged Lion King's body, and Lin Feng was sent flying backward.

The Amethyst Winged Lion King vanished from its spot in an instant and appeared before Lin Feng. Savage light flashed in its lantern-like eyes. Its enormous beast claw came crashing down, as if it were tearing space itself apart.

A dull impact rang out as Lin Feng smashed heavily into the ground, blasting out a massive crater.

Lin Feng swayed as he rose to his feet. After venting his power just now, more than half of the force within him had been released, and his consciousness had recovered some clarity.

Blood fell onto the ground. Three horrifying wounds ran across Lin Feng's back. Though he had withstood the Lion King's final strike, he had still suffered grave injuries. The flesh on his back had split open, blood dripping down and gradually staining the ground red.

A streak of purple light shot down from the heavens, carrying boundless might and killing intent as it attacked Lin Feng.

Whoosh!

With a piercing whistle through the air, it reached Lin Feng in the blink of an eye. A faint smile curled across Lin Feng's lips. "Is it over?"

Yet the next instant, a graceful figure appeared directly beside him. Lin Feng felt his unsteady body being gathered into a soft embrace. By his ear came a slightly cool voice, carrying a trace of gentleness. "Little fellow, leave the rest to me."

Lin Feng felt a gentle flow of Dou Qi enter his body, stabilizing his injuries. A burst of thunderous noise followed, and the Amethyst Winged Lion King's attack was shattered.

Holding Lin Feng, Yun Yun lowered her head and looked at the weakened figure in her arms. Seeing the bloody wounds across his back, her beautiful eyes were filled with guilt and heartache.

She took out a medicinal pill and fed it to Lin Feng. Seeing his eyes slowly open, she said softly, "Rest well."

Then, with endless chill in her eyes, she stared at the Amethyst Winged Lion King in the sky and said coldly, "You should never have attacked him."

Yun Yun set Lin Feng down. Leaving that fragrant, soft embrace, Lin Feng sat cross-legged on the ground and began healing his injuries while digesting the remaining power in his body that had yet to be vented.

Azure wings gleamed behind Yun Yun's back. She held a longsword in her hand, her beautiful eyes fixed coldly upon the Amethyst Winged Lion King. Her clear, icy voice rang out. "You hurt him. Today, I will never let you go."

The Amethyst Winged Lion King said coldly, "Hmph. You've only just broken the seal and yet you dare spout such arrogant words? Today, I'll make sure both of you remain in the Monster Mountain Range forever."

"I'm afraid you don't have what it takes."

Wind Pushing Stance!

Yun Yun was still wearing Lin Feng's white robe. Azure Dou Qi spread around her as though a hurricane had arisen. A heaven-shaking sword flash swept forth, carrying the force of a raging gale as it surged toward the Lion King.

Purple light blazed around the Amethyst Winged Lion King. A violet pillar of light shot forth, carrying unstoppable force as it collided with the sword light.

In an instant, terrifying energy ripples raged in every direction. Yun Yun waved her jade-like hand, enveloping Lin Feng within a protective barrier to keep him from being caught in the aftermath.

In the sky, Yun Yun's sword light actually broke through the Amethyst Winged Lion King's attack and continued toward the Lion King.

The Amethyst Winged Lion King was startled and immediately turned aside to dodge, but it was still a step too late. A bloody gash was carved across its body.

Yun Yun said coldly, "In your current condition, you are no match for me."

The Amethyst Winged Lion King snorted. "If not for that brat, you wouldn't have been able to hurt me."

Yun Yun said no more. Her longsword let out waves of ringing cries as terrifying power seemed to gather around her. Azure Dou Qi filled the air. "Extreme Wind: Fallen Kill!"

A deep, tiny ray of light, scarcely the size of a thumb, shot out in an instant. The moment it appeared, space itself trembled faintly.

The Amethyst Winged Lion King did not dare be careless. Purple light burst from its body, and a violet pillar of light mixed with Purple Flame shot forth as well.

Boom!

The two attacks collided, and the space there seemed to twist. The two beams intertwined, radiating terrifying might. But in the next moment, hurricanes swirled around Yun Yun. With a soft shout, that ray of light broke through the Amethyst Winged Lion King's attack and, together with the hurricane, directly engulfed it.

Yun Yun looked at the Amethyst Winged Lion King trapped within the hurricane, her cold voice reaching its ears. "It's over."

A heaven-shaking radiance bloomed within the hurricane. The Lion King struggled fiercely, only to discover that the hurricane contained such tremendous power that it could not break free.

"Damn it."

That brat had drained too much of its power earlier, and this woman was actually much stronger than she had been last time. Clearly, it had underestimated her before.

Purple light flared, and violet flames burned fiercely within the hurricane. Yet beneath that azure radiance and the raging winds, they were gradually suppressed again.

"No!"

The Amethyst Winged Lion King let out a furious roar as the flames and light around its body gradually dimmed. The hurricane dispersed, and a massive figure fell from the sky into the mountain range below.

Yun Yun paid them no mind. Seeing this, the surrounding magical beasts scattered and fled.

Returning to Lin Feng's side, she saw that his complexion had improved considerably. The terrifying wound across his back had stopped bleeding, and golden light radiated from his body.

But after sensing him closely, Yun Yun noticed the discomfort on Lin Feng's face. He seemed to be desperately suppressing something.

Looking carefully, she discovered a violent energy within Lin Feng's body, filling every part of him.

"This power has actually raised his strength to the peak of a five-star Dou Master."

Yun Yun's heart jolted. Although she did not know where this power had come from, she could tell that something was wrong with Lin Feng's body.

Worried, she hurried closer, intending to help him stabilize the energy.

Yet at that moment, Lin Feng suddenly opened his eyes. Faint flames flickered within them, and when he saw Yun Yun, a flash of burning desire passed through his gaze.

Forcibly suppressing the feverish impulse brought on by that power, Lin Feng shouted in a low voice, "Don't come any closer."
