A Soul-Searching Question

After leaving the Raikage Building, Uchiha Asuka headed straight for the center of the village.

At that moment, the last batch of Kumogakure civilians were carrying large bundles and parcels, loading their furniture onto carts one piece at a time.

Asuka waved over a ninja and pointed at those people.

"Where are they going?"

"The former Kumogakure residents will be relocated to the capital of the Land of Lightning for shelter," the ninja answered respectfully.

Asuka swept his gaze over the crowd, then looked toward Kumogakure's tallest building, forming a rough guess in his mind.

As their headquarters, it would naturally be a place the enemy paid special attention to. Perhaps they would arrange the Eight- and Nine-Tails Jinchuriki near headquarters for protection as well.

Looking at the empty streets, where aside from the civilians before him, everyone else was a ninja, he could not help asking, "This is the last batch of civilians being evacuated, right?"

"Yes!"

The ninja nodded. "By around tomorrow morning, Kumogakure will be completely cleared out, leaving only the ninjas participating in the war."

"Alright, I understand. Go on with your work."

"Yes!"

"Asuka!"

Just as Asuka was about to continue wandering around, he saw someone in a green jumpsuit waving at him from farther down the street.

"Guy?"

He was briefly stunned upon seeing the man, then walked over and asked, "What are you doing here?"

"Helping move things!" Might Guy placed the bundle in his hands onto a cart, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and flashed a toothy grin. "There's a dark-skinned, silver-haired girl from Kumogakure. She saw how energetic I was and insisted that I come help carry things."

At Guy's description, a figure immediately appeared in Asuka's mind.

Mabui. That woman who loved getting others to do her work.
