Asuka and Kushina traveled to Rōran to investigate the Dragon Vein, but its release hurled them into a future timeline where the Uchiha Clan had been massacred. While seeking a way home, Asuka met Naruto, Yugao, and Sasuke and began confronting what his counterpart’s life had been like.

• Tsunade sent Asuka and Kushina to Rōran to inspect Minato’s Dragon Vein seal, and they met Lady Sara amid the city’s decline.
• A masked attacker poisoned Asuka and Kushina, then Rōran’s residents broke the seal in hopes of saving their home and unleashed the Dragon Vein.
• The Dragon Vein pulled Asuka and Kushina into the future, where they found Rōran in ruins and learned that the Uchiha Clan had been massacred five years earlier.
