Satan's Shadow: Damn it, how could this human be so troublesome?

He looked no older than S-Class at most. Why had he shown no signs of exhaustion even after fighting this long?

Is this guy really human?!

No, I have a bad feeling about this. That human girl always gives me a sense of dread.

I have to find a way to make this damned brat stop.

Right now, I am only a lingering fragment of a soul. I cannot wield much of my original strength at all. I do not even know whether this magic will succeed.

"Abyss Tome: Underworld Chapter 1: Tian Kui!"

At once, an enormous black magic circle appeared in the sky, and a gigantic gate slowly descended from it.

Ye Yang looked at the pitch-black gate covered in intricate runes, his expression gradually turning solemn.

Even Ye Yang felt a chill in his heart from the ominous aura emanating from the gate.

"Is this old bastard preparing to make a final stand?"

Just then, Satan's Soul spoke. "Human, it is not too late to leave now. Once that gate opens, you will no longer have the chance."

Ye Yang said disdainfully, "Should I thank you for the warning too? You talk way too much for a villain."

"Open it! If you do not open that gate today, you are my grandson."

"Damned brat! Once I obtain that body of yours, I will make sure to torture you first!"

"Open! Gate to the Underworld!"

The bat Demons on both sides of the gate drilled out from its surface. Each held a key, which they inserted into the lock and turned.

"Creak... creak..."

The gate slowly opened a sliver, and countless wails from vengeful ghosts and lost souls immediately poured out from within.

"Aaaah—!!"

Just then, a pair of ghastly white Ghost Hands shot out through the gap in the gate.

They forcibly pried open the gate that had been opening slowly.

For a moment, a mass of wandering souls flew out, while the owner of those giant hands stepped forward one step at a time as the gate opened.

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

A five-meter-tall Demon, completely pale white, with nothing but a mouth full of sharp fangs on its head, walked out.

"Urgh... urgh... urgh..."

"Urghah—!!!"

Satan's Shadow: "Accept my offering, White Demon: Tian Kui!"

The black energy in the sky continuously gathered. The originally pitch-black sky gradually brightened, and soon, a black sphere of energy radiating immense power floated in the air.

A wisp of black mist hovered above the energy sphere.

The black energy sphere slowly flew toward Tian Kui.

It sank directly into Tian Kui's chest.

Black patterns continuously emerged from Tian Kui's chest and spread across his pale white body. Within a few breaths, they had covered him completely, and a pair of scarlet lights appeared in the eye sockets that had originally held no eyes.

Satan's Shadow: "Kill... kill that human."

It was clear that Satan's Shadow had paid an enormous price to summon this Demon.

At once, the motionless Tian Kui bit through his own palm. A great amount of black blood flowed from his severed hand, gradually forming a massive bone cleaver.

"Roar—!!"

Ye Yang scratched his ear at Tian Kui's roar.

"You are so damn loud. Why are all you bosses so noisy when you make your entrance?"

"Hey, old bastard. I thought you had summoned something impressive. You do not seriously think this thing can take me down, do you?"

Satan's Shadow said mockingly, "Who knows? I have more important things to do now."

With that, Satan's Shadow swiftly headed toward the Sealed Land.

Just as Ye Yang was about to stop him, a huge cleaver came slashing straight at him.

"Boom!" The ground tore apart in every direction, and houses collapsed. Fortunately, the villagers had already fled the village when they saw the change in the weather.

Tian Kui's strike directly wiped out over half the village.

Ye Yang looked at the destroyed village and felt his head swell.

"Fuck! It is over, it is over. Old Man is going to nag me again. The money this village paid will not even be enough to cover the damages."

"Hey! You big idiot, do you know how much trouble you have caused me?"

Because Satan's Shadow had not provided enough of an offering, Tian Kui's strength was far from sufficient. He was merely a machine that knew only slaughter.

"Roar—!"

Tian Kui raised his bone cleaver again and swung it at Ye Yang.

Inside the Sealed Land

Guided by her arm and her heart, Mirajane arrived smoothly at the core of the Sealed Land.

At the center of the Sealed Land, Satan was bound by chains. For some unknown reason, one of those chains had already broken.

Mirajane looked at the Demon before her in astonishment. Rather than fear, she felt a trace of excitement in her heart.

"So this is the Demon that awakened my magic?"

Just as Mirajane was about to touch Satan, Satan suddenly opened his eyes.

Startled by the sudden change, Mirajane collapsed to the ground.

A voice entered her mind.

"Human."

Mirajane was startled by the voice in her mind.

"Who?! Who is speaking!?"

"I am right before your eyes."

Mirajane looked fearfully at Satan, whose eyes had opened.

"Why is your voice inside my head?"

"It is simple. You are the chosen one."

"The chosen one?"

"That is right. Is your arm not the best proof?"

Mirajane looked at the arm that had caused her and her family so much suffering, and rage surged from her heart.

"So everything I suffered before was because of you!"

"Compared with the power you have gained, what do those things matter?"

"Once I am free, I will personally eliminate every last one of those lowly people who humiliated you."

Mirajane remained silent, her expression dark.

"Quickly, release my seal, and you will gain even greater power!"

The moment Satan finished speaking, Mirajane's body began to rise uncontrollably. She slowly walked forward.

When her arm touched the chains, they snapped apart.

"Crack! Crack!..."

When the final chain broke, fierce winds swept through the Sealed Land. Black mist engulfed Satan, while the magic circle below shone with dazzling purple light.

The light shot into the sky and poured into the dark clouds. In an instant, lightning flashed, thunder roared, and the winds howled.

Ye Yang stepped on Tian Kui's head and watched the sudden change in the sky.

"The rest is up to you, Mirajane."

As he spoke, golden light flashed beneath his foot. Tian Kui's head burst apart and slowly dissipated.

Within the Sealed Land, the black smoke surrounding Satan slowly dispersed, revealing a man with the appearance of a noble vampire before Mirajane.

Satan slowly walked toward Mirajane, a wicked smile appearing at the corner of his lips.

"What a beautiful face. For a moment, I am almost reluctant to erase you."

"However, this body has been sealed for too long and is already on the verge of breaking apart. You are the key to obtaining that damned brat's body."
